Stars Tattoos

The “Origin” of star tattoos designs

It all started from “yesterday’s” childhood favorite chapters of varied fairytales. The stories which revealed the significance of a star has made us biased enough to believe in its powers. After all, bed time stories do affect children. Flipping through the pages of ancient histories and coming across varied incidents, we came to believe that a “star” symbolizes the path of righteousness. As a matter of fact, a star plays a very important role in the upbringing of human civilization. Now, how is that possible? Well, development in human civilization in general means development in yielding and producing crops, harvesting that is.

Based on the location of the stars up in the sky, farmers get to know what crop is to be yield in what seasons. People believe that a star is nothing but a pentagram. Pentagram is basically a pentagon star that has a significant meaning. A pentagon has 5 corners, that is, the 5 points of a star. The 5 points are likely the air, water, earth, fire and the sky, and they are said to be controlled by a fairy (virtually located on the top of the star). It is considered as something precious and holy and has been worshipped by people since ages.

If we summarize all the possible facts about a “star”, then we conclude that there are reasons enough for a “star” being the centre of attraction and a matter of concern.

Now, let’s see things in a different way. The sun which is a big deal is considered as the closest star which we witness. Our solar system is considered to be comprised of 9 planets and the sun is responsible of keeping these planets at their respective places. Science says that none of these planets could’ve existed if the sun wasn’t there. Our very own planet earth has life in it and it is due to the sun’s energy. Now, this signifies that the sun is somewhat like a supreme commander or head of the family. However, you will be surprised to know that it is the smallest star in the universe. Now, don’t you think that above mentioned significance of the sun is reason enough for us to worship it? Well, people do.

At times we do notice that people often carry their idol of worship along with them all the time in form of bracelets or necklace. For example, Christians carry necklaces those come with a cross (symbolizing Jesus). But of late people have started seeing things in a different way; instead of carrying them they permanently paint their skin in form of tattoos signifying their worship, faith and their belief as more concrete and orthodox. A lot does it for the sake of style.

So, people those who worship the sun, they get a sun symbol drawn on their skin as well. In order to avoid some same old circular artworks on their skin, they modify the symbol to a star just to add a tinge of style. After all a sun is a star too! A lot think that having 5 edged pointed star tattoos on their skin will make it look a bit more stylish than having old fashioned rounded tattoos. This is how the star tattoos design ideas was born!
